Chausson

Japanese:
Chausson
French composer. Born in Paris. After earning a doctorate in law, he entered the Paris Conservatoire at the age of 24, where he formally studied music for the first time. He studied under Massenet and C. Franck, who became his lifelong teacher. He was also deeply influenced by listening to R. Wagner's works in Munich from 1879 to 1880. He deepened his friendship with d'Indy and Duparc, who had gathered around Franck because of their admiration, while at the same time serving as secretary for the Société National de Musica, which was organized by Saint-Saëns, and devoted himself to the development of modern French music. He died at the early age of 44 in an accident, and the journey of a promising young man, along with Debussy and others, was cut short before he could achieve his goal. His representative works include Poem of Love and the Sea (1882-1890) for soloist and orchestra, Symphony in B-flat major (1889-1890), Concerto for Piano, Violin and String Quartet (1891), and Poem for violin and orchestra (1896), both of which were dedicated to Ysaé.
