A document that copies only part of the contents of the original. Abbreviation of certified copy of abstract. Usually, it refers to a document created by a public official in the course of his/her duties based on the original, and in many cases, a notarized statement is added to the effect that the contents of the copied part are the same as the original. This is called a certified copy. Examples include extracts from family registers (Family Register Act, Articles 10 and 10-2), extracts from registers, etc. (Real Estate Registration Act, Articles 119-121), and extracts from court records (Civil Procedure Act, Article 91).
