Japanese: 情報産業用紙 - じょうほうさんぎょうようし

A general term for paper used as an information input/output medium, with many being special papers and processed papers developed to meet the requirements of information devices. Because this is a new field, there is no established classification method, but it can be broadly divided into computer paper, copying paper, and record paper. Statistical cards and punched tape were used for computer input, but direct input from keyboards has become more common in recent years. OCR (optical character reading) paper, OMR (optical mark reading) paper, and BCR (bar code reading) paper allow data to be input directly from the original slip, so their use is expanding in areas such as collection slips.

情報の入出力媒体として用いる紙の総称で，情報機器の要求に応じて開発された特殊紙，加工紙が多い。新しい分野であるので分類法は確立していないが，大別してコンピューター用紙，複写用紙，記録用紙に分けられる。コンピューターの入力用として統計カード，さん孔テープが用いられていたが，最近はキーボードからの直接入力がふえている。OCR(光学文字読取)紙，OMR(光学マーク読取)紙，BCR(バーコード読取)紙は，原票から直接入力できるので集金伝票などの分野で使用が伸びている。
