A seaweed of the family Clenchedriaceae in the order Clenchedrias, red algae. A worldwide species found in calm areas of the intertidal zone. The algae are reminiscent of a centipede, with branched branches 2-3 mm wide arranged in a feather-like pattern on either side of the main axis. They grow in clumps and reach a height of 20-30 cm. 紅藻類カクレイト目ムカデノリ科の海藻。潮間帯の波の静かなところにみられる汎世界種。藻体は幅2~3mmの分岐した枝が主軸の左右に羽状に並んでムカデを想起させる。叢生し,高さ 20~30cmとなる。
