Up and down [town] - Jyoge

Japanese: 上下[町] - じょうげ

A former town in Konu County, eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. It is on the watershed between the Shimokawa River, a tributary of the Gono River, and the Yatada River, a tributary of the Ashida River. The central settlement, which is on the Fukuen Line, is in the Shimokawa River basin and once flourished as a post town and the commercial center of the Tenryo. It produces rice and konjac, and dairy farming is also thriving. It was incorporated into Fuchu City in April 2004. ^{85.53 km2} . 6,083 people (2003).

広島県東部，甲奴(こうぬ)郡の旧町。江の川(ごうのかわ)の支流上下川と芦田川の支流矢多田川の分水界にあたる。福塩線の通じる中心集落は上下川流域にあり，かつて宿場町，天領の商業中心として栄えた。米，コンニャクを産し，酪農も盛ん。2004年４月府中市に編入。85.53km²。6083人（2003）。
