Also written as 'Shunshu'. In ancient China, the emperor would travel around the country, inspecting the political affairs of each state while training his troops by hunting. Shun is said to have completed his tour every five years, but what is famous in history is that the First Emperor of Qin, after unifying the country, traveled around various places, holding festivals in the mountains and rivers and erecting stone inscriptions recording the events, thereby demonstrating the virtue of the Qin dynasty.
