A German poet who put into practice the language destruction and language creation of Expressionism. Born in Münster. Died on the Eastern Front during World War I. Published avant-garde works in the magazine Sturm in a style characterized by extreme compression. Later, he influenced Dadaism, and then experimental poetry such as Letris and Poésie Concrete after World War II. His poetry collections include "You - A Love Poem" (1914) and "Drops of Blood" (1919), as well as plays.
