Ikenroku

…Compiled by Hong Mai (1123-1202) of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. Based on the phrase in the Tangwen chapter of the Liezi, "Yu the Great went and saw it, Bo Yi knew about it and named it, and Yi Jian heard about it and wrote it down," this work was compiled by Zhang Shensu of the Tang Dynasty in the Yi Jian Lu, a collection of strange events heard from others. Following this example, Hong Mai compiled miscellaneous folk events from the end of the Northern Song Dynasty to the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty over a period of about 100 years into 32 collections and 420 volumes, which he published from time to time. …
