Jazz dance

Japanese: ジャズ・ダンス(英語表記)jazz dance
Jazz dance
A dance style developed by African Americans based on African dance. Dances to jazz rhythms that focus on hip movements and body movement began to be danced by whites around 1910, and the foxtrot was invented by the Castles. In the 1920s, the Charleston, with its two-beat rhythm, became popular. The term jazz dance began to be used around 1927, but tap dancing appeared in the late 1920s and 1930s, and tap dancers such as Bill Robinson and F. Astaire became famous.
