Cardinality (cardinal number) of an infinite well-ordered set. For example, the numberable cardinal number α is the smallest aleph number, which can also be written as א ₀ (א is a Hebrew letter pronounced aleph). Furthermore, all aleph numbers can be numbered in order with the ordinals ₀ , 1, ..., _ω , ω ₊₁ , ..., such that _{א 0} 〈א 1 〈 ...〈א ω 〈א ω＋1 〈 .... When א _α ≦א _β , that is, when α≦β, then א _α ＋א _β ＝א _α א _β ＝א _β . According to the well-ordered theorem, all infinite cardinal numbers are aleph numbers, and sums and products can be easily calculated using the above formula.
