〘Noun〙① An official title in ancient China. In the Zhou Dynasty, he was one of the Six Ministers and the head of the Xia officials. In the Qin and Western Han Dynasties, he was called Da Sima and, along with Da Si Tu and Da Si Kong, was one of the Three Officials. He was in charge of the bureaucratic system, rituals, military affairs, etc. In the Later Han and Tang Dynasties, he was renamed Taiwei.
