A type of rock formed by erosion of water or by turbidity currents, in which fragments of unconsolidated mudstone or other sediments are incorporated into sediments of roughly the same age, forming gravel-like rocks. The edges of the rock fragments are often rounded off during transport through the water, but they can also be irregular in shape. They are characteristic of turbidity current deposits.
