An evergreen fern of the family Lamiumaceae. Also called Iwahimo or Iwahige. It grows on rocks and tree trunks in the mountains. Thin, linear, glossy, thick, leathery leaves grow densely from short rhizomes. They are 50 centimeters long and 4 to 7 millimeters wide. The midvein is noticeably raised on the underside, and sporangia are produced in the grooves embraced by the leaf margins. It is found in warm areas west of the Boso Peninsula.
