Alps-Himalaya belt
It is one of the largest mountain ranges on Earth, stretching from the Alps through Western Asia to the Himalayas and Indonesia. Its western end is the Pyrenees on the Spanish-French border and the Atlas Mountains in North Africa, and then the Apennines, the Alps, the Carpathians, the Dinaric Alps, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, the Zagros, the Hindu Kush, and finally the Himalayas. From the Himalayas to the east, it continues through the mountains of Myanmar and Thailand to the Malay Peninsula and the Sunda Islands.
