In China, the title of the ten most important disciples of Confucius. In the advanced edition of the Analects, the four subjects are listed: Gan Hui, Min Ziqian, Ran Boniu, and Zhonggong for virtue, Zai Wo, Zigong, Ran You, Zilu for politics, and Zi You and Zixia for literature. This allows us to know the subjects of Confucius' teachings and their outstanding students. The method of appointing officials based on these four subjects arose during the Han dynasty.
