Shihi no Omina

Japanese:
Shihi no Omina
?-? A court lady from the Asuka period.
Volume 3 of the "Manyoshu" contains a poem that responds to a poem by Empress Jito (reigned 690-697). Shihi is either the name of a clan or means "storyteller" since the content of the poem is a response to a strong phrase (shiigatari).
