The deification of Futsunomitama, the sacred sword of Isonokami Shrine (Tenri City, Nara Prefecture). The Mononobe clan, who managed the sacred treasures of Isonokami, used this sword to amplify the Emperor's life, and also took part in the battle to pacify Yamato, bearing this god. It was this sword that revived Emperor Jimmu, who fainted after landing in Kumano. Futsunushi-no-kami is enshrined in various places, including Izumo, and is also a reflection of the fact that he plays a leading role in the negotiations for the transfer of the country in various versions of the "Nihon Shoki." Furthermore, the Kojiki excludes Futsunushi no Kami from appearing in the section on the killing of the fire god, as well as in the section on the messenger transferring the country and in all other sections, and instead places emphasis on Takemikazuchi no Kami as a sword god; however, this is a revision of the original legend with the involvement of the Fujiwara clan, who later made Takemikazuchi no Kami their patron deity.
