Coumarin

[ I ] Coumarin. 2H -1-benzopyran-2-one _{. C9H6O2} (146.15). Lactone of o -hydroxycinnamic acid. Aromatic component found in clover and various other plants. _It is synthesized by the Perkin reaction from salicylaldehyde, acetic anhydride, and sodium acetate. Colorless crystals. Melting point 68-70°C, boiling point 291°C. Soluble in ethanol and hot water. When diluted, its scent is reminiscent of sakura mochi leaves, and has a somewhat benzaldehyde-like scent. 【Ⅰ】coumarin．2H-1-benzopyran-2-one．C₉H₆O₂(146.15)．o-ヒドロキシケイ皮酸のラクトン．クローバーをはじめ各種の植物中に含まれる芳香成分．サリチルアルデヒドと無水酢酸および酢酸ナトリウムからパーキン反応により合成される．無色の結晶．融点68～70 ℃，沸点291 ℃．エタノール，熱水に可溶．希薄のときの香りは桜餅の葉を想起させ，またいくぶんベンズアルデヒドのような香気を有する．一般化粧品，食品香料として広く利用される．[CAS 91-64-5]【Ⅱ】coumalin，cumalin．α-ピロンに同じ．[別用語参照]ピロン
