A policy adopted in modern China. China suffered unprecedented natural disasters for three consecutive years from 1959. This was compounded by the policy errors made during the Great Leap Forward and the withdrawal of Soviet engineers, and the national economy as a whole, especially agricultural production, suffered a serious blow in the period 1959-61. One of the policies adopted to overcome this difficulty during the adjustment period (1961-65) was the "Three Self-One Bag" policy. The "Three Self-One Bag" in "Three Self-One Bag" refers to preserving as much of the country's own land as possible, establishing a free market, and creating many enterprises that are responsible for profits and losses, and "One Bag" refers to the policy of having each household take on the task of agricultural production.
