Also called "Shiripa" or "Shiriba." A cape jutting out into the head of Akkeshi Bay in southeastern Hokkaido. It belongs to Kushiro Town. Located on the west side of the mouth of Akkeshi Bay, it is a scenic spot with a panoramic view of Daikoku Island and Kojima at the mouth of the bay. In summer, cattle and horses are pastured here. The irises that bloom in early summer are famous. Designated as part of Akkeshi Prefectural Natural Park. 「しりぱ」「しりば」ともいう。北海道南東部,厚岸湾頭に突出する岬。釧路町に属する。厚岸湾口西側に位置し,湾口にある大黒島,小島を一望できる景勝地。夏には牛馬が放牧される。初夏に咲くヒオウギアヤメは有名。厚岸道立自然公園に指定。
