Saroma [town] - Saroma
A town in Tokoro County in northeastern Hokkaido. It faces Lake Saroma to the north and borders Kitami City to the south. Wheat and other specialty crops are produced along the Sarobetsu River. Dairy and beef cattle are raised here. In the fishing industry, scallops and oysters are cultivated. Area: 404.94 km2 . Population: 5,892 (2010).
