Polypore - Polypore
These mushrooms have holes in the spore-forming area on the underside of the mushroom cap, and are also called sclerotinic (polypore) fungi because many species are hard. They are named after the way they protrude from the trunks of trees. In addition to the Polyporaceae family of Basidiomycetes, they are divided into four families: the Polyporaceae family, the Polyporaceae family, and the Ganodermatae family. There are more than 50 genera and 1,500 species known worldwide, and about 40 genera and 300 species known in Japan. There are endemic species in the subarctic, temperate, warm-warm, and tropical regions, and many endemic species are found in Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, and Asia, as well as in Southeast Asia and Madagascar.
