A hot spring located at the southern foot of Mikuni Pass in Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture. Salt-containing, nitric oxide spring. 63°C. Originally a hot spring resort along the Akatani River, it was submerged by the Aimata Dam and moved to the northern shore of the artificial Akatani Lake. During the Edo period, there were repeated requests to open the hot springs as Yushima Onsen, but permission was denied due to the nearby Sarugakyo Checkpoint. It belongs to Joshin'etsu Kogen National Park, and is connected by the Mikuni Kaido (National Route 17), and there is a bus service from Numata City.
