This is the Thai Imperial Translation of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Luo Guanzhong, written in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. Around 1802, during the reign of King Rama I, the poet Chaophraya Praklang (real name Hong) was appointed chief translator, and completed the translation based on the dictation of overseas Fujian Chinese. Although there are many mistranslations, the translation is elegant, concise, and flawless, and is considered a masterpiece of Thai prose. The writing style is somewhat different from chapter 55 onwards, so it is likely written by a different person. Jacob (?-1956)'s masterpiece "The Ten Victors" imitates this style.
