Japanese: 小砂丘忠義 - ささおかただよし

1897-1937 An educational activist from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
Born on April 25, 1897. He became an elementary school teacher, and in 1921 he organized the SNK Association, calling for a revolution in the world of education, and published the coterie magazine Kyokuhoku. In 1921 he moved to Tokyo and launched the national magazine Tsuzurikata Life, and also established a local publishing company to publish Tsuzurikata Reader. He worked to popularize the Tsuzurikata education movement. He passed away on October 10, 1937. He was 41 years old. He was from Kochi Prefecture and graduated from Kochi Normal School. His real name was Sasaoka Tadayoshi.

明治30年4月25日生まれ。小学校教師となり,大正10年教育界の革命をとなえてSNK協会を組織し,同人誌「極北」を発行。14年上京し,全国誌「綴方(つづりかた)生活」を創刊,また郷土社を設立して「綴方読本」を刊行。生活綴方教育運動の普及につとめた。昭和12年10月10日死去。41歳。高知県出身。高知師範卒。本名は笹岡忠義。
