Hypermnesia

A phenomenon in which a person easily recalls things that would normally be unremembered during a hypnotic state or fever. This is also called hypermnesia. It is also seen in patients with schizophrenia and mania (→ manic depression). In addition, some people with savant syndrome may show remarkable memory for certain objects. 催眠状態や発熱時に，通常時では思い出せないものまで容易に想起する現象。記憶過剰ともいう。統合失調症や躁病（→躁うつ病）の患者にも認められる。またサバン症候群においても，特定の対象について著しい記憶力を示す場合がある。
