The North Tsou, to the west of the Bunun, also have a three-tiered patrilineal clan organization, and although their administrative system seems somewhat simplified, there is no fundamental difference between them. However, the tribal political, military, and religious-magical unity, which is probably strengthened through the tribal chief and the men's meeting hall (which also serves as a head shrine) located in the main village, is much more prominent. While their lifestyle is somewhat similar to that of the Bunun, greater importance seems to be placed on the qualifications and skills of warriors and hunters.
