Also, the act of pulling hair upwards and tying it up. ※Noh play, Utauranai (around 1432) “The white hair is disheveled and upturned, like scattering snow.”② A monster with upturned hair. ※Haiku, Kebukisou (1638) 5 “The upturned hair looks like the willows of the wind (Kirin) .”[2] The name of a madwoman who appears in the Noh play “Semimaru.” Also, an old name for the Noh play “Semimaru.”
