[Power transmission device]
The power generated by the engine passes through the clutch, is increased or decreased in the transmission, and is transmitted to the propeller shaft (in the case of FR system), where it is further reduced in the final reduction gear and transmitted to the drive wheels via the differential (Figure 2-a). The main function of the clutch is to provide the necessary slip when starting, etc., and to interrupt the power when changing gears in the transmission.
