Born: June 4, 1881 in Tula [Died] October 17, 1962, Paris. Russian female painter, sculptor, and stage designer. Studied at the Moscow Art School from 1898 to 1904. In 1910, she began the Rayonist movement and moved towards an abstract style. In 1914, she moved to Paris with her husband M. Larionov, and was in charge of the stage design for S. Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, and contributed to the development of stage design and modern art in Russia.
