Japanese: コンスタンティヌス[2世](英語表記)Constantinus II,Flavius Claudius
Constantine II, Flavius Claudius
317‐340
Roman Emperor. Reigned as co-emperor 317-337 and as regular emperor 337-340. He was the second son of Constantine I, but his mother was probably a concubine. He was made co-emperor immediately after his birth, and from 337 he ruled Britain, Gaul, and Spain as one of the regular emperors. He was in conflict with his brother Constans, and claimed Italy and Africa as territories. He invaded Italy but was defeated, was branded an "official enemy," and was killed at Aquileia.
