[Died] May 29, 1788 (Tenmei 8). A miscellaneous haiku poet from the mid-Edo period. His other name was Momen. He lived in Shitaya, Edo, and was active as a central poet in the Ueno Sanshita Sakuragi Ren. He played a particularly important role as the editor of "Ryutaro," a compilation of excerpts of excellent verses from "Senryu Hyō Manku-go," with preface verses reviewed by Karai Senryu. "Ryutaro" was edited by Goryōken from the first volume published in 1765 (Meiwa 2) to the 22nd volume published in 1788 (Tenmei 8). He also wrote the prefaces to each volume.

江戸時代中期の雑俳作者。別号，木綿 (もめん) 。江戸下谷に住んで，上野山下桜木連の中心作者として活躍した。特に，柄井川柳の評した前句付『川柳評万句合』より佳句を抜粋編集した『柳多留』の編者として大きな役割を果した。『柳多留』は，明和2 (1765) 年刊の初編から天明8 (88) 年刊の二十二編までが呉陵軒の編集。各編の序文も書いている。
