A name combining the "Hu Weiyong Prison" and "Lanyu Prison" in the early Ming Dynasty of China. Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty killed many of his loyal officers and generals who had supported him since the uprising for trivial reasons or for crimes they did not commit, but the biggest of these was the "Hu Lan Prison." Hu Weiyong was highly trusted by Emperor Hongwu and rose to the position of Left Prime Minister, with sole authority over all government affairs. However, in 1380, he was arrested and executed on the pretext of plotting treason. It is said that more than 30,000 people were executed for their involvement, including Li Shanjang, Song Lian, and other loyal officers. Lan Yu was also arrested and executed in 1386 for plotting treason, but the facts of this are doubtful. It is said that the number of people executed for their involvement reached 20,000. In this incident, almost all of the meritorious generals who had served since Emperor Hongwu's uprising were killed, and it can also be seen as a purge measure taken to establish the emperor's dictatorial power.
