A powerful clan that inherited the shrine family of Hiromine Shrine in Harima Province. According to the Hiromine clan genealogy, five generations of descendants of Oshikouchi no Mitsune, beginning with Semura, called themselves the Hiromine clan, and successive generations were appointed as chief priests of Hiromine Shrine. Sahyoe no Jo Ienaga, who is said to be the eldest son of the eldest daughter of chief priest Katsuga in the Kamakura period, served as a Kanto Gokenin (vassal of the Kanto region) in 1256 (Kōgen 1) as a guard for transport between Oyake and Kakogawa on the Sanyo Road, and his son Nagasuke also served as a Kyoto guard in 1279 (Kōan 2), and in 1281 was given the position of chief priest of Hiromine Shrine, as well as other duties, such as farming, and retainer duties, by Ienaga.
