A theater dedicated to children and young people. It is also called a "children's theater" or "youth theater." Compared to general theaters for adults, its history is quite recent. Although plays for children have been performed in general theaters and halls for a long time (children's plays), the world's first "children's theater" dedicated to children is said to have been the "First Soviet Children's Theater in Moscow," which opened in 1918, the year after the socialist Russian Republic was founded.
