Located in Kozakura, Terauchi, Akita City. Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto and Ohiko-no-mikoto are enshrined here. The date of its founding is unknown. According to the legend, during the reign of Emperor Sujin, Ohiko-no-mikoto, the general of the four roads, enshrined Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto as the god who protected the northern border, and later Abeno-hirafu enshrined Ohiko-no-mikoto and worshipped him as the Koshio. In ancient times, it was the guardian deity of Akita Castle, and later it attracted worshippers under the name Koshio Daigongen, and during the feudal era it was given 60 koku of land. Formerly a small national shrine. Its annual festival is held on May 8th, when a special ritual is held with a glued spear to predict the year's harvest. Shrines of the same name are found along the Sea of Japan in the prefectures of Niigata, Yamagata, Akita, and Iwate.
