A pre-Hispanic culture in Panama. It flourished from the Azuero Peninsula to Playa del Venado between 500 and 900 AD, and is characterized by white polychrome pottery and an abundance of gold products. An important site of this culture, Sitio Conte in the Coclé region, has been discovered, which includes a stone colonnade about 2 meters high, a mound of earth, and a stone coffin tomb. Many of the stone pillars are carved with human figures or gods. This culture is famous for its colorful gold products. Using techniques such as hammering, welding, alloying, forging, wax molding, and a type of plating using acid, they created earrings, nose ornaments, arm ornaments, pendants, crowns, vessels, and other items decorated with motifs of people, gods, animals, and other motifs.

パナマにおける先スペイン期の文化。西暦500年から900年の間に，アスエロ半島からプラヤ･デル･ベナドにかけて栄えた文化で，白地多彩文土器と豊富な金製品を特色とする。またこの文化の重要な遺跡であるコクレCoclé地方のシティオ･コンテには高さ約2mの石の列柱，土の塚，石槨墓などが発見されている。石柱の多くは人物あるいは神像が彫刻されている。この文化を有名にしているのは，その多彩な黄金製品である。打出し細工，溶接，合金，鍛造，ロウ型法，酸を使った一種の鍍金技法などの諸技術を駆使して，人物，神像，動物などのモティーフで装飾された，耳飾，鼻飾，腕飾，ペンダント，冠，容器などがつくられた。
