A local lord in Kii Province. He had a deep connection with the Kumano Sanzan and was one of the three families who served Shingu, and served the gods and Buddha as a Sanpo Shachu (monks, priests, and shrine priests). There is an ancient site in Funada Village, Ono Manor, Muro County, called the site of the Suzuki residence, and it is said that Suzuki Saemon, a monk, was the head family of the Suzuki clan. In addition to Muro County, the Suzuki clan of Fujishiro (Fujishiroura, Nagusa County) is said to have come to this area as a land steward, and they also exist in Saika (Amafu County), Hidaka (Hidaka County), Nagusaura (Nagura County), Konagawa (Naga County), and other areas. As faith in Kumano grew from the late Heian period to the Kamakura period, it was invited to all over the country, and it is thought that the Suzuki clan also began to move to various places at the same time.
