Their duties cover a wide range of school health issues, including participating and cooperating in the planning and implementation of school health plans, maintaining and improving the school environment and hygiene, providing guidance and advice on health checkups, disease prevention, safety plans, first aid, and school lunches, health consultations, health education, creating health records, and making home visits to provide health guidance to children and students. To become a school nurse, one must obtain a school nurse license under the Educational Personnel Certification Act.
