The Uda Genji clan. The family of Eikyoku (traditional Japanese musical instruments) descended from Prince Atsumi, the son of Emperor Uda. In the mid-Kamakura period, the family split into the Arisuke clan, followed by the Ayanokoji clan of Nobuari and the Niwada clan of Tsunesuke, and inherited the arts of Eikyoku, Wakoto, and Fue. In the Edo period, they received a stipend of 200 koku, and in the Meiji period, they became Viscounts. They continue to pass on the Ayanokoji school of Eikyoku to the present day.
