…In the early period of the Northern and Southern Courts, it was also a base for the Northern Court. On the left bank of the upper reaches of the Ichinose River, there was Ichinose Castle, which belonged to the Aisu clan of the Southern Court. During the Edo period, it was the territory of the Kishu Domain, and produced firewood and charcoal. Cormorant fishing and sweetfish fishing were carried out on the Miyagawa and Ichinose Rivers. …
