Ancient writings from the capital - Kokyo Ibun

Japanese: 古京遺文 - こきょういぶん
Ancient writings from the capital - Kokyo Ibun
A study of ancient epigraphy written by Kariya Sekisai in July 1818 (Bunsei 1). Sekisai was a leading scholar of historical research in the Edo period, and his works include "Senchu Wamyo Ruijusho" and "Nihon Ryōiki Kōshō." "Kokyo Ibun" covers 30 items, including the "Ujibashi Broken Monument," "Senshu Ogo Tombstone," and "Inscription on the East Pagoda of Yakushiji Temple." He provides an explanatory text for each item, describes how it was discovered, and conducts rigorous historical research on the inscriptions, so it is no exaggeration to say that it remains a foundational text for epigraphy research even today.
