A nationalistic labor movement that was the forerunner of the Industrial Patriotic Movement. It began in October 1926 as the Ishikawajima Jikkyo Union, organized at the Ishikawajima Shipyard. At the time, Ishikawajima was the base of a left-wing council (the Japanese Trade Union Council). The Jikkyo Union was formed in opposition to this and was a company union, but its president, Kamino Shinichi (a foreman at the shipyard), was a member of Yasuoka Masaatsu's Kinkei Academy and advocated a Japanese-style labor movement with the slogans "an industrial nation" and "integration of labor and management." In 1929, the Jikkyo Union joined the Musashino-Sogo Labor Federation, a federation of the enterprise unions of the Yokohama Dock and the Uraga Dock, and took the lead in it. In 1930, it renamed it the Japan Shipbuilding Labor Federation and used it as a foothold to expand its influence in the labor world.

産業報国運動の先駆となった国粋主義的労働運動。始まりは1926年10月，石川島造船所で組織された石川島自彊組合である。当時の石川島は左翼の評議会(日本労働組合評議会)の拠点であった。これに対抗して結成された自彊組合は会社組合であるが，組合長の神野信一(同造船所職長)は安岡正篤の金鶏学院の一員で，〈産業立国〉〈労資融合〉をスローガンとする日本主義労働運動を提唱した。29年，自彊組合は横浜船渠，浦賀船渠の企業別組合の連合体，武相労働連盟に参加し，その主導権を握り，30年にはこれを日本造船労働連盟と改称，これを足場に労働界における勢力拡大を図った。
