Filial Piety Sect

A sect of a new Buddhist religion. It was the first religious organization that led to the split of the Reiyukai. In 1936, the Kodokai separated from the Reiyukai and was established. The founder, Masamichi Okano, was originally a Tendai Buddhist monk who preached about applying the Lotus Sutra faith to real life, valued memorial services, and focused on broadcasting sermons over the radio. 仏教系新宗教の一派。霊友会分裂の契機となった最初の教団。1936年に霊友会から分かれて孝道会が設立された。教祖岡野正道はもと天台宗の僧で法華信仰を実生活に生かすことを説き，供養を重んじ，ラジオを利用する説教放送に力を入れた。本部は横浜市神奈川区鳥越。
