Inaba Highway

Japanese: 因幡街道 - いなばかいどう
Inaba Highway
A highway connecting the Harima region of Hyogo Prefecture and the Inaba region of Tottori Prefecture. It splits off from the Saigoku Kaido at Aoyama in the west of Himeji City, passes through Hayashida and Anashi, heads north from Yamazaki along the Ibo River valley, crosses Tokura Pass (891m) on the border with Tottori Prefecture, and passes through Wakasa (Tottori Prefecture) to reach Tottori. It corresponds to the current National Route 29.

兵庫県播磨地方と鳥取県因幡地方を結ぶ街道。姫路市西部の青山で西国街道から分れ,林田,安師 (あなし) を経て山崎から揖保川の谷を北上し,鳥取県境の戸倉峠 (891m) を越え,若桜 (鳥取県) を経て鳥取にいたる。現在の国道 29号線に相当。
