Indo-European languages ​​are derived from a common Indo-European root (also called Proto-Indo-European), which is theoretically reconstructed. Therefore, although they are currently separate languages, historically they are related to each other and are considered to form a family. This is a linguistic assumption, and proof of this requires certain procedures.
