Production programming

In factories, this refers to the management of adjusting the capacity of machines and workers with the actual amount of work. It is also called full-power management. In factories, the labor hours (time required) per unit of product are calculated, and based on this, the labor hours for all products are calculated, and the required number of personnel, machines, etc. are calculated, and personnel are assigned to existing equipment, or additional personnel or equipment is added. In this case, especially in high-mix low-volume production or made-to-order production, the predetermined production plan may be changed or adjusted, resulting in excess capacity for each machine or worker. Therefore, management that adjusts the load for each worker and machine becomes important.

工場において，機械や作業者の能力と，実際の仕事量を調整してゆく管理のこと。全力管理ともいう。工場では製品1単位あたりの工数 (所要時間) を計算し，これをもとに全製品の工数を算出して，人員，機械などの必要量を計算し，現有設備に人員を割当てたり，増員，増設をはかったりする。この場合特に多品種少量生産や注文生産においては，あらかじめ決めた生産計画が変更，手直しされ，機械や作業者ごとの負荷に余力が生じる場合がある。したがって作業者や機械ごとの負荷を調整する管理が重要になる。
