Gaogang - Gaogang

Chinese politician. Born in Shaanxi Province. Studied at normal schools in Yulin and Xi'an. Together with Liu Zhidan, he established a Soviet area in Shaanxi, and welcomed the main force of the Red Army led by Mao Zedong on the Long March. In 1945, he became a Central Committee member at the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of China, and in 1949, just before the establishment of the People's Republic, he became chairman of the Northeast People's Government, seizing real power in Northeast (formerly Manchuria). After the establishment of the Republic, he served as Vice Chairman of the Central Government and Chairman of the Northeast Administrative Committee, but was criticized for anti-party actions such as trying to create an "independent kingdom" in Northeast together with Rao Shushi and others, and was ousted in 1954 and expelled from the party in 1955. He died in 1954. He reportedly committed suicide in prison.

中国の政治家。陝西(せんせい／シャンシー)省生まれ。楡林(ゆりん／ユイリン)および西安(せいあん／シーアン)の師範学校に学ぶ。劉志丹(りゅうしたん)とともに陝西にソビエト区を建設、毛沢東(もうたくとう／マオツォートン)を先頭に長征を行った紅軍主力を迎え入れる。1945年中国共産党第7回大会で中央委員に、1949年人民共和国成立直前に東北人民政府主席となり、東北（旧満州）の実権を握った。共和国成立後、中央政府副主席、東北行政委員会主席などについたが、饒漱石(じょうそうせき／ラオシューシー)らとともに東北に「独立王国」をつくろうとしたという反党行為を批判され1954年に失脚、1955年に党から除名された。1954年死去。獄中で自殺したと伝えられる。
