Black and white colobus

Japanese: クロシロコロブス - くろしろころぶす（英語表記）black and white colobus

This Old World monkey (illustration) of the Cercopithecidae family of primates has a beautiful contrast between the pure white hair on its cheeks and tail, and the cape-like shoulder hair and black body hair. Its head and body length is about 70 cm, its tail length about 80 cm, and its weight about 11 kg. There are many variations, but it is classified into four lineages: the Gereza (also known as the Abyssinian colobus) C.p. abyssinicus , which is found in the forests from Ethiopia to the northern part of Central Africa, the Angolan colobus C.p. angolensis , which is found in the forests to the south, the Western colobus C.p. polykomos in West Africa, and the all-black black colobus C.p. satanas , which lives in Gabon and Cameroon.
