Japanese: 交換分合 - こうかんぶんごう

A method or means for consolidating (consolidating) farmland by exchanging, merging, or dividing scattered or complicated farmland. In the 10 years from 1950, about 1.6 million hectares of farmland were exchanged and divided, but since the application was limited to changes in agricultural promotion areas or agricultural land zones, the number of such exchanges and divisions has dropped dramatically since then and is not used much. The system was expanded with the revision of the Agricultural Promotion Area Development Law in 1984, and new exchanges and divisions for forest land, agreements for facility placement (Agricultural Promotion Law Village Agreement System) to induce agricultural facilities, and exchanges and divisions for agricultural facilities are now included. In recent years, new ways of farm management that can withstand international competition on a scale of 20 to 30 hectares are being explored through the consolidation of small-scale farm management through exchanges and divisions.

分散したり入組んでいる圃場の交換，合併，分割を行うことにより，圃場の集団化 (団地化) をはかること，またはその手段。自作地の交換分合は 1950年からの 10年間で約 160万 haも行われていたが，適用が農振地域や農用地区域の変更の場合のみに限られていたこともあり，その後激減しあまり行われていなかった。 84年の農業振興地域整備法改正で制度の拡充がなされ，新たに林地などの交換分合，施設配置に関する協定 (農振法集落協定制度) による農業施設を誘導するための協定関連交換分合，農業用施設，創設交換分合が盛込まれた。なお，近年零細的農業経営を交換分合による集団化などにより，20～30haの規模の国際競争に耐えうる新しい農業経営の道も模索されている。
